Youth Christian Formation*:

Nursery Volunteers*

Nursery volunteers are always a blessing.  Childcare training is available for anyone 16 years of age or older.  Childcare is provided on Sundays during the services as well as at special events and programs.  Contact Michelle Autry at (210) 696-0834.

Godly Play*

Goldly Play volunteers are trained in the Godly Play program to teach children the wondering process of biblical stories.  Contact Susan Correa at (210) 699-8072 .

Fine Arts Formation*

Fine Arts Formation volunteers focus in depth on one particular biblical story at a time, continuing with a fine arts presentation at the end to demonstrate their understanding of the story.  Contact Michelle Autry at (210) 696-0834.

Journey to Adulthood (J2A)*

A mentor-based program that helps teens discern and carry out a ministry within their church or in the larger community.  Contact Church Office at (210) 696-0834.

Episcopal Youth Christians*

For either Junior High or Senior High age helps to meet the spiritual or emotional needs of the youth.  Volunteers help them grow in their faith and mature in making choices about their future.  Contact Michele Koch at (210) 381-5112.  Click here to view the upcoming EYC events!

Children’s Chapel*

Children’s Chapel is held during the 9:00 a.m. service as a child’s version of church with lessons focused on the gospel reading for that Sunday.  Contact Dot Huddleston at (210) 520-1951.

Vacation Bible School*

Vacation Bible School is held in the summer for children from age 3 through 5th grade.  Assistance is needed to teach, lead, and care for the children.  Contact Susan Correa at (210) 699-8072.

*  Ministries marked with an asterisk indicate that volunteers will be involved with youth or children and are required to complete a course at the Diocese of West Texas called “Safeguarding God’s Children.”  Call the office for details or to sign up for the course.

Adult Bible Study:

Adult Christian Formation

Adult Christian Formation classes is for those wishing to become an Episcopalian, and those who wish to learn about the history of the Church as well as Episcopal  doctrine and what is contained in the Book of Common Prayer.  Conact the Rector at (210) 696-0834.

Men’s Study Group

The Men’s Study Group meets on Tuesdays at noon to discuss topics based on a book or the scripture.  Contact Fr. Phillip at (210) 696-0834.

Personal and Spiritual Growth Group

Personal and Spiritual Growth Group meets weekly on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. to look at your life in the light of a book that is studied with the group.  Contact Fr. Phillip at (210) 696-0834.

Education for Ministry (EfM)

Education for Ministry (EfM) is a four- year program for theological study developed by the University of the South in Sewanee.  It covers the Old Testament, New Testament, Church History, Liturgy, and Theology.  Contact Carol Andrews at (210) 699-0935.

Cursillo (or Walk to Emmaus)

Cursillo (or Walk to Emmaus) is a four-day experience in which participants learn the rules of life in order to share in the joy of knowing Christ.  The program also trains leaders to be the example of Jesus’ teachings.  Contact Nancy Franklin at (210) 979-6372.

Labyrinth Guild

Labyrinth Guild is for people in transition, for anyone seek ing healing of one sort or another, for those on a spiritual  journey, or for times when there is a need for such things as  clarity, letting go, reconciliation, meaning, purpose, or peace.  Contact Nicholas Parma at (210) 385-8408.

Financial Peace University
